This notice explains what information may be collected when you use charlierobertsart.com, why it is used, and which services help operate the site.

Information you provide

If you send a message through the Contact form, I receive the name, email address, message, and inquiry category you choose to provide. Squarespace hosts the site and form, and sends submissions to my business email so I can respond.

If you subscribe to From Charlie’s Studio, your email address is processed through Mailchimp so I can send studio news and occasional updates. You can unsubscribe using the link in any newsletter.

If you place an order, information needed to process and fulfill it is handled through Squarespace and the payment method you choose. Squarespace Payments and PayPal/Venmo are connected to the online checkout. An in-person purchase may also be processed through Squarespace point-of-sale tools. The payment provider you choose receives payment and transaction information under its own privacy terms.

Website measurement and cookies

Google Analytics is used to understand site visits and interactions. Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers and collect information such as browser and device details, site interactions, session statistics, and approximate location. Squarespace may also use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and provide its analytics.

The Squarespace cookie banner is currently turned off, and the site settings currently allow non-essential cookies without an on-site preference prompt. You can manage cookies in your browser. Google also provides privacy controls for Google Analytics (https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/9019185) and a browser opt-out add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

How information is used

Information is used to respond to questions, manage newsletter subscriptions, process and fulfill orders, and understand site use. Contact and order records are kept as needed to handle requests, complete transactions, and maintain business records. Newsletter information is used until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed.

Service providers

The services currently configured for the site include Squarespace for hosting, forms, checkout, and point-of-sale tools; Mailchimp for newsletter delivery; Google Analytics for site measurement; and PayPal/Venmo as checkout options. These providers process information to provide their services under their own privacy terms. Payment methods may also be subject to terms from the payment provider you select.

You can unsubscribe from studio emails using the link in any newsletter. You can also contact me to ask about information you have provided or request an update or deletion, subject to records I need to keep for business or legal reasons.
